Why Dancer's Edge?
What sets Dancer's Edge apart is our Cecchetti based ballet training, a strong base for training any dancer.
Enrico Cecchetti was the ballet master for the famous ballet company, Ballets Russes (French for The Russian Ballets), founded by Russian born Serge Diaghilev in the early 1900's. Cecchetti's legacy has lived on through the Cecchetti Council of America. The Cecchetti Council was founded after his dance material was handed to the Dance Masters of Michigan in 1939.
The Cecchetti Method has been an integral part of who I am as a dancer. My examination papers as I began my dance career were signed by those charter members of the Cecchetti Council of America.
I have been involved with this way of life as a dancer since I was 5 years old, and as a teacher have always incorporated this method into my ballet classes. It is my belief that the structure, techinique and precise nature of this curriculum will take any young dancer in the direction that he/she wants to go. To this end, my current curriculum reflects the grade levels and class structure outlined by Cecchetti himself. I am looking forward to training my future charges in this exciting path to classical ballet training.

Willy Marchante
Mr. Willy has been dancing and
choreographing for entertainment entities such as Universal Studios and Sea
World for many years. In
addition, he has danced and choreographed for artists
such as Janine Fatone, Chataqua and a plethora of establishments
throughout Orlando. Currently he teaches, directs productions and choreographs
at Dancer's Edge as well as performing at Universal Studios and in other gigs
around town.

Sarah Fanok
Miss Sarah began her dance career as a gymnast. She studied the Russian method of ballet in Sarasota Florida and danced as a member of the Sarasota Ballet Company. She is now Studying the Cecchetti Method of Ballet with Jamie Rodriguez and is teaching classes in preschool, ballet, tap and jazz at Dancers Edge.
Steven Johnson
Mr. Steven has been studying dance at Dancers Edge in ballet and tap from Jamie Rodriguez and in hip hop with Mr Willy. From the classical and hoofing methods learned in tap, Mr. Steven has created his own unique style as he teaches for Dancer's Edge. Mr. Steven is a company member of DRIP, a modern dance company, and performs as a free lance artist throughout the Central Florida area.
Rachel Bellows
Our newest addition to the Dancer's Edge staff is Miss Rachel Bellows. She is teaching the Flamenco classes this year and more information on her background and qualifications to follow...
